As the 2024 elections draw near, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Members of Parliament (MPs) and Parliamentary Candidates (PCs) in the Oti Region are intensifying efforts to secure a decisive victory, according to a statement from the Regional Communications Officer, Mobarak Diplomatic.

In a bid to strengthen their position, NDC representatives have been actively engaging with constituents, showcasing achievements, and expressing gratitude for the support received during the primaries. This strategic move is aimed at consolidating gains and fostering a connection between the elected officials and the electorate.

The statement highlights the diverse approaches taken by NDC MPs and PCs in the Oti Region, ranging from thank-you tours to town hall meetings. These initiatives provide a platform for the elected representatives to exhibit their accomplishments and interact directly with the community.

The NDC’s determination to secure victory is underscored by their commitment to leave “no stone unturned” in ensuring success for both their party and former President John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections.

In contrast, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Oti Region faces challenges, as the statement suggests that many of their PCs are individuals who previously stood on NPP tickets and lost to NDC candidates. The NPP’s perceived unpopularity is attributed to a loss of credibility, with claims that the government has failed to deliver tangible benefits to the people of the Oti Region.

The statement emphasizes the NDC’s legacy of projects from the Mahama administration, including E-blocks, hospitals, CHPS compounds, potable water, and roads, as a source of pride for the constituents.

The Regional Chairman, described as “Hardworking” in the statement, plays a pivotal role in motivating NDC MPs, PCs, and Constituency Executives to uphold unity and resilience, setting high standards for success in the upcoming elections.

The message concludes with a strong endorsement for former President John Dramani Mahama as the “only viable flagbearer” capable of leading the party to victory and steering Ghana towards progress. The tone remains optimistic, expressing confidence in scoring a “triple hat trick” in 2024.
