Every week someone walks into our shop holding their phone and asks, “Boss, how much is the Spark 50?” The question sounds simple, but there’s a 4G version, a 5G version, a Pro, and prices online quoted in Naira, Taka and Rupees that only confuse things. Here’s the straight answer: what each Spark 50 is, what it costs in Ghana cedis, and which one makes sense for you.
The Tecno Spark 50 Family at a Glance
Tecno released the Spark 50 series in 2026. Like every Spark phone, it’s built for people who want a big screen and a battery that lasts, without paying Camon or Galaxy money. There are three main versions.
Tecno Spark 50 (4G): the battery champion
This is the version you’ll find on most Ghanaian shelves. Key specs:
- 7,000mAh battery, the biggest in the series
- 6.78-inch 120Hz display, which is smooth for scrolling TikTok and WhatsApp
- MediaTek Helio G81 processor
- 50MP main camera, 8MP selfie camera
- 4GB to 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, plus a memory card slot
- IP64 dust and splash resistance
- 18W charging
That 7,000mAh battery is the main reason to buy it. With normal use (WhatsApp, calls, MoMo, some YouTube), most people get well over a day. When the lights go off for hours, that matters more than any camera spec.
The weak point is charging. At 18W, filling a 7,000mAh battery takes time, so charge it while there’s light, or keep a power bank close.
Tecno Spark 50 5G: faster chip, quicker charging
- 6,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging
- MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor, noticeably quicker than the G81
- 5G support
- Same 6.78-inch 120Hz screen and 50MP camera
The 5G model launched mainly for markets like India and Pakistan, so in Ghana you’ll mostly see it as an imported unit. Be honest with yourself about 5G. Coverage in Ghana is still limited to certain areas, and most of us live on MTN, Telecel or AT 4G. Pay for this version for the faster processor and 45W charging, not for 5G alone.
Tecno Spark 50 Pro: the tough one
- 6,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging (about 63% in 30 minutes, full in under an hour)
- MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor
- IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance
- 50MP Sony camera
- Slim 7.8mm body
For market traders, okada riders, delivery workers and anyone whose phone faces rain, dust and drops, the Pro is the one. The 60W charging means that when light comes for 30 minutes, you get a strong top-up.
Tecno Spark 50 Price in Ghana (October 2026)
Prices move with the dollar rate and with promos. Here’s what each version costs at Simcel Ventures right now:
| Model | Price at Simcel Ventures (October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Tecno Spark 50 (4G), 128GB | GH₵ 2,070 |
| Tecno Spark 50 (4G), 8GB/256GB | GH₵ 2,530 |
| Tecno Spark 50 Pro | GH₵ 2,990 |
| Tecno Spark 50C | GH₵ 2,030 |
| Tecno Spark 50 5G | Not stocked online yet. WhatsApp us for availability |
If someone offers you a “brand new” Spark 50 for GH₵ 1,500 or less, be careful. At that price, it’s likely a refurbished unit, a clone, or a phone without a valid warranty.
What about the Spark 50 price in Nigeria, Pakistan or Bangladesh?
You’ll see plenty of these searches online, but those prices don’t apply to you. They’re affected by local taxes, import duties, exchange rates and the exact version sold in each country. For example, the Bangladesh Spark 50 Pro might have different RAM from the one in Ghana. When you compare, compare Ghana prices with Ghana prices, and always check the RAM and storage on the box.
Which Spark 50 Should You Buy?
Get the Spark 50 (4G) if you’re a student, a first-time smartphone buyer, or you want the longest battery for the lowest price. It’s the best value for everyday use.
Get the Spark 50 Pro if your phone works as hard as you do. Traders, riders, artisans and anyone outdoors will appreciate the waterproofing and the 60W charging.
Get the Spark 50 5G if you want faster performance for apps and light gaming and you can find a genuine unit with warranty.
One honest tip: if your budget allows, go for 6GB or 8GB RAM. HiOS with WhatsApp, Facebook and MoMo apps open all at once runs much smoother with the extra memory.
Accessories Worth Getting With Your Spark 50
A new phone is only half the job. These are the add-ons we recommend to almost every Spark 50 customer:
- A good power bank (10,000–20,000mAh): your backup when dumsor lasts longer than your battery.
- The right charger: if you lose the original, get a charger that matches your model’s speed (18W, 45W or 60W). A weak or fake charger slows charging and can damage the battery over time.
- A screen protector and case: the Spark 50’s screen is large, and a cracked screen costs far more than a GH₵ 50 protector.
- Earbuds: for calls on the go, sermons, and music in trotro traffic.
At Simcel Ventures, we stock genuine Tecno phones alongside chargers, power banks, cases, screen protectors, and earbuds, so you can sort everything in one visit. You can pay with MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or AT Money; no need to carry cash.
How to Make Sure Your Spark 50 Is Genuine
- Check the IMEI: dial *#06# and confirm it matches the number on the box.
- Confirm the warranty: genuine Tecno phones come with a Carlcare warranty.
- Check the specs in Settings: make sure the RAM and storage match what you paid for.
- Buy from a shop you can come back to: if something goes wrong in week two, you want a real person to talk to.
