As part of ongoing preparations for the highly anticipated Speech and Prize-Giving Day and Homecoming celebration in June, the leadership of St. Mary’s Seminary Senior High School has secured a firm pledge of support from the Board Chairman of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah (MP).
The engagement took place during a courtesy visit to the Board Chairman, led by the Headmaster of St. Mary’s, Rev. Fr. Felix Akpah. The delegation also included key staff members and representatives of the school’s National Old Students’ Association — Mr. Senyo N. Kporku, National Secretary, and Mr. Kudjo Mawufemor, National Organizer.
In a closed-door session, Hon. Bedzrah commended the school’s efforts and reaffirmed his commitment to addressing its infrastructure challenges. He recognized the broader infrastructural difficulties confronting many educational institutions across the country and pledged to take swift action in supporting St. Mary’s Seminary SHS.
“I understand the urgency of the issues raised, and I assure you that GETFund will work closely with the school to develop a plan to tackle these challenges one by one,” the Board Chairman stated.
The school delegation, in turn, expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception and assurance of support. The Headmaster and Old Students’ representatives thanked Hon. Bedzrah for granting them audience and pledged to maintain an open channel of communication and collaboration to ensure progress.
The meeting marks a significant step forward as the school gears up for its upcoming ceremony, with renewed hope that key infrastructural needs will soon be addressed through targeted support and partnership.
