Step 1: Unbox and Inspect

1. Unbox your TECNO POP 8 and make sure you have all the included accessories:
   • TECNO POP 8 smartphone
   • Charger and USB cable
   • SIM ejector tool
   • User manual
   • Protective case (if included)
2. Inspect the phone for any physical damage. If everything looks good, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Insert SIM Card and MicroSD Card

1. Turn off the phone if it’s already on.
2. Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the phone.
3. Use the SIM ejector tool to open the SIM card tray.
4. Insert your SIM card and optional microSD card into the tray. Make sure they are properly aligned.
5. Reinsert the tray into the phone.

Step 3: Power On and Initial Setup

1. Press and hold the power button until the TECNO logo appears.
2. Select your language and tap “Start”.
3. Connect to a Wi-Fi network by selecting your network and entering the password.

1. Download the Phone Clone app on both your old phone and your TECNO POP 8 from the Google Play Store.
2. Open the Phone Clone app on both devices.
3. On your TECNO POP 8, select “This is the new phone” and choose the type of your old phone (Android or iPhone).
4. On your old phone, select “This is the old phone” and scan the QR code displayed on the TECNO POP 8.
5. Select the data you want to transfer and tap “Start”. Wait for the transfer to complete.

Step 6: Set Up Security Features

1. Set up a screen lock (PIN, pattern, or password) by going to Settings > Security > Screen lock.
2. Set up fingerprint or face unlock for added security.
   • Go to Settings > Security > Fingerprint and follow the on-screen instructions to register your fingerprint.
   • Go to Settings > Security > Face Unlock to set up facial recognition.

Step 7: Customize Your Device

1. Set up your home screen by organizing apps and widgets as per your preference.
2. Change the wallpaper and theme by going to Settings > Display > Wallpaper and Settings > Display > Theme.
