RESPONSE TO THE OTI NPP REGIONAL CHAIRMAN ON HIS FRIVOLOUS CLAIM OF H.E JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA HAS NO SHAME FOR RETURNING TO OTI REGION TO CAMPAIGN

In a recent statement by Evans Yaw Dapaah, the Oti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), questions were raised about the motives behind H.E John Dramani Mahama’s presence in the Oti Region. However, it appears that clarity is needed to dispel the misconceptions surrounding the purpose of H.E John Dramani Mahama’s visit.

Contrary to claims of campaigning, H.E John Dramani Mahama’s visit to the Oti Region was part of a larger initiative titled “Building the Ghana We Want Together.” This tour was designed to provide a platform for various sectors of society, including artisans, fishermen, farmers, and Okada Riders, to voice their concerns and contribute to the development of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s manifesto for the upcoming 2024 elections.

It is regrettable that Mr. Dapaah, in his remarks, seems to have overlooked the essence of this tour and resorted to baseless accusations. Moreover, his assertion that the NPP is the sole harbinger of development in the Oti Region fails to withstand scrutiny when confronted with the undeniable facts.

Under the leadership of H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, the Oti Region has witnessed unprecedented infrastructural development across all constituencies. From educational facilities to healthcare infrastructure and road networks, the impact of these projects speaks volumes about the commitment to progress and prosperity for the region’s inhabitants.

It is imperative for Mr. Dapaah and the NPP to acknowledge these tangible contributions to the region’s advancement rather than resorting to divisive rhetoric. The people of the Oti Region have consistently demonstrated their support for leaders who prioritize their welfare and development over empty promises.

As we approach the December 7th Election, the track record of H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to the betterment of the Oti Region. It is through continued collaboration and constructive engagement that we can truly build the Ghana we aspire to see.

Below is the full statement released by the Oti Regional Communication Officer of the NDC.

When Akuffo Addo created Oti Region in 2018, little did we know that was the end of development for the good people of Oti Region.

No single project has come to the region even when he came to the Regional Capital Dambai and promised them Regional Hospital, the place has now become a habitat for reptiles.

Mr Evans Dapaah must know that, the good people of Oti Region denied them a seat in Parliament both in 2016 and 2020 because they have not constructed a single hen coop for them. The only projects they can boast of is that of H.E John Dramani Mahama and NDC

H. E John Dramani Mahama and all the nine(9) Parliamentary Candidates shall continue to win all their seats in Parliament because they are the best to bring them development.

The superior records of H.E John Dramani Mahama and NDC in the region is enough testament for an overwhelming victory for NDC in the December 7th Election.
