In the forthcoming days, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the nation builder and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to embark on a tour of the Oti Region as part of his ongoing Building Ghana Tour.

Preparations in the Oti Region for the arrival of the former president are already well underway, according to the Regional Chairman, Hon. John Kwadjo Gyapong. The leadership of the region has been actively engaged in organizing and coordinating logistics to welcome Mahama, demonstrating their eagerness to receive him.

In anticipation of Mahama’s visit, Members of Parliament (MPs) and Party Constituency Executives (PCs) in the Oti Region have been actively involved in mobilizing and sensitizing constituents about the impending tour of the NDC’s flagbearer.

The political landscape in the region has been painted with a stark contrast, as the National Patriotic Party (NPP) finds itself grappling with unpopularity due to perceived inactivity. According to reports, the lack of significant achievements by the NPP has left them struggling to garner support from the people of the Oti Region.

Highlighting Mahama’s track record, it is noted that the Nation Builder has spearheaded numerous capital-intensive projects in the region, including the establishment of several E-Blocks, which are pivotal in enhancing education infrastructure.

Currently, John Dramani Mahama is engaging with various segments of the population in the Greater Accra Region as part of his nationwide engagement efforts.

Expressing his allegiance to the cause, Hon. John Kwadjo Gyapong, the Dean and Regional Chairman of the Oti Region, has affirmed his unwavering commitment to declare the Oti Region resoundingly in favor of the NDC in the upcoming elections, pledging a remarkable 9|9 outcome.

This declaration underscores the fervent support and readiness of the regional leadership to rally behind Mahama and the NDC’s vision for the development and progress of the Oti Region.
