The Itel A18 is a budget smartphone that offers decent specifications for its price. I have been using this phone for a few weeks now, and here is my review.
Design and Display: The Itel A18 comes with a 5-inch display which is decent for a budget smartphone. The phone’s body is made of plastic and has a matte finish, which provides a good grip. The phone’s design is simple and sleek, and it is available in two color options – Black and Gold.
Performance: The phone is powered by a Quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, which is adequate for basic tasks such as browsing, social media, and watching videos. However, the phone might struggle with heavier applications and multitasking. The 32GB internal storage is enough for storing essential apps and media files. The 2400mAh battery lasts a full day on moderate usage.
Camera: The Itel A18 features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The cameras are average and take decent photos in daylight conditions. However, the low-light performance is not great, and the photos might come out blurry and noisy.
Software: The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) with Itel’s custom UI on top. The UI is simple and easy to navigate. The phone comes with pre-installed apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, which can be uninstalled if not required.
Overall, the Itel A18 is a decent budget smartphone that offers basic features at an affordable price. It is suitable for people who are looking for a smartphone for basic tasks such as calling, messaging, and browsing the internet. However, if you require a smartphone for heavy usage, then this phone might not be the right choice.
