10 Ways to Make Your Phone Battery Last Longer - MyRepublic

One of the biggest issues with today’s smartphones is battery life. Your battery is usually dead before you make it home. even if you burned it all night?

Follow these 10 quick and easy tips to save battery power and reduce the number of times you have to charge your phone in a day.

Turn off the brightness of the lower screen as much as possible. Of course, when you’re outside in the sunlight, it’s almost impossible to turn up the screen brightness and still see clearly. But once you’re there, remember to ask him. The brighter your screen, the more battery power it consumes.

Use black wallpapers on AMOLED displays. When a pixel is white, it emits light. Therefore, using black wallpaper creates less light and saves battery power. I recommend Zedge for wallpapers and ringtones and notifications.

If possible, turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, screen rotation, and syncing. Swipe one finger down to the top of the screen where the notification bar appears to view quick settings. Click a quick setting icon to turn it on or off.

Use the battery backup or turn it off completely. Sometimes it’s important to keep the scene realistic. For example when using maps for directions. Most of the time, however, battery backup options are very efficient and high accuracy is not required. This setting can be found under the condition.

Stop sending notifications. Obviously, there are some notifications you want like news, weather, and possibly news updates. But do you really want to be notified every time a new video you might like is uploaded to YouTube? Disabling some of your app’s notifications not only saves your battery but also saves data in RAM. Saving RAM makes your phone faster. And we all know that saving data is important.

To turn off unwanted notifications, go to Settings and tap Notifications. This takes you to a list of apps on your phone, and you can tap an app to turn its notification on or off.

If your phone model doesn’t have a display option, go to the app. Tap the app you want to turn off notifications for, then scroll to Notifications. You will see an option to turn off notifications from the app. Repeat for each application.

Set the screen to turn off after 2 minutes or less of activity. Go to Settings > Display and tap Sleep to set the time when the screen turns off automatically after inactivity. Of course, that means you’ll have to keep re-entering your passcode, but your phone’s screen drains more battery power than anything else.

Turn off the vibration. Personally, I’m not a fan of keys that vibrate when I type, so turning the vibration off is one of the first things I do. You can find the key vibration under Settings > Language and input > Virtual keyboard. From there, press your keyboard and click on your settings. Scroll down until you see vibrations and keystrokes.

Turn off the heart rate monitor. This is a blinking light letting you know you have a new status. In Settings, under Notification, you will find an option to turn on the heart rate notification light.

Quit apps running in the background. Apps always run in the background; most are completely irrelevant to it. Depending on your phone and model, there are two ways to see what apps are running.

Go to Apps in Settings. From there, scroll right (if possible) to run.

Otherwise, you’ll see a list of apps currently running in your phone’s settings under Storage. Click on the app you want to quit. Then click on the three dots in the upper right corner. This should show the option to turn it off.

Only disable apps if you know what they’re doing. For example, Chrome, Gmail, and LetGo can be easily disabled, but Android OS, System UI, and com. android.SMS push should be left alone.

When setting up your phone, press the power button to turn off the screen. That’s always good, especially when you’re on the go because it doesn’t just save some battery power maintenance, but also activates the screen lock.
