So I decided to get a job as a brand ambassador, which by the way is the correct term for the above job. You may also hear these people as promotional models, which are similar but slightly different in outlook and job description. Whoever you want to be, you need to provide the agencies with a resume. The only problem is that you haven’t done this job before. Almost all brand ambassadors and promotion models work through an agency that helps them get these jobs at events and accounts. A good relationship with the agency starts with showing them what you have to offer them!
Consider a brand ambassador resume as a sales and marketing resume. Most people have worked in sales at some point in their lives. If this sounds like you, no matter how long ago, put it in this resume. What is your job description? Have you supported customers on the ground with clothing or products? Excellent, add that to your resume! Did you work on an assignment? big! This shows that you are interested in sales! What may seem like small tasks is important to keep in mind when creating a resume for a brand ambassador job. Agencies want to see that you have experience convincing the general public to buy. If you have previously worked in marketing, this is also very valuable. This shows agencies and future employers that you are in the know. They know market trends, consumer trends, and competition offerings. Even if your experience has nothing to do with the things the brand ambassadors promote, that’s okay. Knowledge is still valuable. Explain what you did in this post. If you’re some sort of team leader or project leader, then comment it!
Let’s say you’ve never worked in sales or marketing before. Our last tip is to let them know your social skills! Every job requires human skills. Even if you have a job that fills up (assuming you find a job at a gas station that still pumps customer fuel…), you’ve interacted with people and made their experience a good one from start to finish. Explain how each interaction made a positive exchange between the consumer and the producer. Have you worked in a daycare center? Talk about how this improved your problem-solving skills, and your ability to avoid conflict and find a happy balance between all parties. Needless to say, “parties” are five years old! Have you ever worked as a secretary? Talk about how your organizational and computer skills keep you focused on tasks and purpose. Work in your own interest if you can. Are you a runner? You are ideal for working at the registry office for a charity! Do you play video games? They will be great at the gaming conference! Agencies want to get to know you and there are countless professional qualities that will serve you well in the industry including tech expert, multi-lingual, good-speaking, and more!
You will find that the most important part of this job is being on time, familiar with your brand, with a smile, and with a great work ethic. As with any job, your reputation will grow, and this will open more doors. With these tips, you can create a resume that opens the first door and says, “I’m here and you want to hire me!”
