A reasonable business proposal is written with the reader and their needs in mind. The purpose of writing an offer is to gain appreciation and acceptance from the customer. The proposal must not only be well written but also leave an unforgettable impression on the reader. So what can you do to improve the quality of the cover letter and ensure that the target customers are heavily influenced by your thoughts and ideas? Try to solve these basic questions, such as:
What are your tasks in the project?
What will you do to take responsibility?
How long it will take to complete the project?
What will be the estimated total cost?
There is no specific format for writing proposals, but all well-written proposals contain at least the following elements:
Executive Summary – The executive summary refers to the brief description of the proposal and includes the objectives, implementation details, and expected outcomes. It should be around 500 to 600 words and no longer than one page. The summary should be written last when you have answered all of the above questions.
Necessity – It contains a detailed description of the existing business problem and the need to solve the problem. This is where you want to provide all the details of the project and its importance to the overall strength and well-being of the company.
Objectives – This is the most relevant, serious, and important part of the business proposal. Here you should include the expected results of the entire company. Customers want to know what benefits they will get after completing the project. Therefore, it is best to include every detail related to goal achievement.
Methods – Use this section to provide details about the methods to be used to run the project. For example, if the project is about web design, the “Methods” section contains the technologies you would use… ASP, PHP, HTML, Flash, or whatever.
That’s all! At this point, you have a well-written proposal on your hands. Depending on the type of company, you can provide other important details. So, writing proposals is not a very complicated process; you just have to know what’s in it.
