
The 143,000 Euro facility is being installed at University’s Demonstration by the construction firm, Pumptech Limited.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, together with, Mr. Rafael Wiese, Project Manager for GIZ-Green People’s Energy Project, on Monday, broke ground for the commencement of work.
The project, when completed in a month, would serve as a demonstration center for developing the capacity of training institutions, technicians/installers, and credit officers in solar-powered irrigation systems (SPIS) in Ghana.
It will also be used to provide competency-based training and improve efficiency in handling, operating, and maintenance of SPIS hardware in Ghana.
