
On Sunday, 11th July 2021, President Nana Akufo Addo commenced a 2-day working visit of the Savannah Region, with visits to Damongo and Buipe.
Amongst others, he paid a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura, Tutumba Boresa Sulemana Jakpa.
He also inspected ongoing work on the construction of a 3-storey administrative block for the Savannah Regional Co-ordinating Council, which is 70% complete.
He paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional area, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II.
He also commissioned the 85-bed Central Gonja District Hospital, whose construction started in 2018.
