GCB SPEARHEADS ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY IN THE BANKING SECTOR

GCB Bank Limited, as always, has shown the way as a leading indigenous bank, abreast with emerging technological trends within the financial sector.

The Bank, demonstrated proactivity and commitment to quality service which have facilitated business continuity even in the post pandemic business recovery efforts being employed by many businesses.

Speaking at the Chamber CEO Business Forum, organized by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Marriott Hotel in Accra, Mr. John Adamah, the Head of Consumer Banking, representing the Bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Kofi Adomakoh, highlighted such products of the bank as G-Money, no-card ATMs, and mobile banking which have been introduced to make financial transactions easier, and to give customers, the best of service.

Citing the Bank’s peculiar standing as Ghana’s first indigenous bank, he explained why GCB Bank is the bank of choice for businesses, especially SMEs.

Answering questions on the adoption of technology for banking business, Mr. Adamah expressed his appreciation to the customers of the Bank, who were patient throughout the phases that the Bank had to move onto all of its technological platforms and the networking of its branches.

He emphasized that the phased approach was the best way that could have been used to keep business running whilst at the same time introducing the new automated systems. He further spoke of easy accessibility to loans, to which many of the participants commended the Bank for its efforts at helping their businesses grow through its easily accessible, low-interest loan facilities.

Mr. Adamah spoke, alongside Mrs. Theresah Yamson of Phyto-Riker Pharmaceuticals, and Mr. Amardeep Singh Hari of IPMC, whose address was read on his behalf by a representative from IPMC. Amongst the views shared by other panelists were the inclusion of women in business, environmental sustainability and waste management, and doing business on the international scale.

The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an association of business operators, firms and industries with interests spanning every sector of private enterprise in Ghana.

The business forum, on the theme, “Redefining Business Success: “The Path for Business Value, Resilience, and Sustainability”, saw participants from various sectors of the economy, CEOS and businessmen alike, sharing ideas and garnering perspectives for business success. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan Kyeremateng, and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison.
