The Law of Sustained Activity – Matt Morris

Momentum is a gift.

If you take it for granted and don’t treat it as such, it goes away very quickly.

MUCH more quickly than it came.

The mistake I’ve seen far too many leaders make (and I’ve made it myself) is celebrating too soon.

You work like crazy…

Burn the midnight oil…

Burn the candle at both ends…

And FINALLY create some serious growth in your team.

So you decide you deserve a vacation and you’re off to the beach for 2 weeks. Only to return to see your team’s growth at half the speed it was at before you left.

Listen, when you create a level of momentum on your team, it’s not time to party.

It’s time to DOUBLE your efforts!

Never forget this… and REMEMBER that I told you:

It takes just as much, or more, energy to sustain momentum as it does to create it!

It’s like pushing a car uphill… you can get some forward momentum going but as soon as you stop pushing, the car slows down or starts rolling backwards.

It’s not time to party until you have several leaders pushing as hard as you are and leading as strongly as your are.

If you’re reading this and saying to yourself, “But MAAAAATTTTTTT, that sounds HARD!”

Here’s my coaching:

Suck it up, Buttercup.

Getting rich is hard.

Achieving lifestyle freedom is hard.

Helping others achieve freedom and, thus, giving you financial stability is hard.

But DAMN is it worth it!

And if you really think about it…

It’s nowhere near as hard as working a job for the rest of your life.

It’s nowhere near as hard as struggling financially year after year.

It’s nowhere near as hard as the regret you feel by not accomplishing your dreams.

Listen, my friend… it’s hard either way.

So pick your hard.
