The Commissioner of Insurance, Dr. Justice Ofori in a bid to strengthen relations with the Ghana Police Service has paid a working visit to the new Director-General of the Motor Transport & Traffic Department (MTTD), COP Mr. Frederick Adu-Anim at the Police Headquarters on Thursday 18 March, 2021.
During the visit, Dr. Ofori highlighted the National Insurance Commissions (NIC) previous engagements with the MTTD, including the training of 400 MTTD Officers on insurance database and subsequent donation of 500 GOTA phones to enhance its work of managing motor traffic related incidences. He also assured of the NIC’s readiness to assist Police enforcement and awareness creation on insurance policies.
Dr. Ofori was accompanied by Dr. Mahama Wayo, Head of Finance at the National Insurance Commission; Mrs Naa Shormeh Gyang, Head of Legal and Mr. Mawuli Zogbenu, Head of Public Relations. On the part of the MTTD, Superintendent Dr. Sasu Mensah, Director Operations; Superintendent Mr. Alexander Kweku Obeng, Director Research & Training and DSP Mr. Charles Kwakye, Staff Officer to the Director-General MTTD were present.
