But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear (1 Peter 3:15).
The reason why so many Christians do not experience the power of the Spirit is that they lack reverence for Him. And they lack reverence because they have not had their eyes opened to the solemn fact of His indwelling presence. The fact is incontrovertible, but they have not seen it. Why do some of God’s children live victorious lives while others are in a state of constant defeat? The difference is not accounted for by the presence or absence of the Sprit (for He dwells with every child of God) but by this, that some know His indwelling and others do not, and that consequently some recognize the divine ownership of their lives while others are still their own masters.
Discovery of the fact that his heart is God’s dwelling place will revolutionize the life of any Christian. Amen!!!
