DEVOTION: MARCH 8, 2021

And he put the poles into the rings at the sides of the ark, to bear the ark (Exodus 37:5).

The ark of testimony had no fixed platform. In the entire description of the tabernacle, no mention is made of the floor beneath it, for of course it was the same desert soil as was trodden by the feet of every Israelite. And our testimony as Christians is what we are proving of Christ Himself in our daily walk. Moreover, just as the poles ensured that the ark was ever ready to be borne forward, so our testimony can never be static, but always mobile, fresh, and vital.

I mean this in the sense not of something quickly conjured up when a need arises but rather of an always ready, always fresh evidence of what God can do. Christ, and not in the first place what we say about Him, is the testimony we bear on our pilgrimage, and every step of the journey brings us new discoveries of Him. Amen!!!

Good Morning. Have a lovely working week. Stay Safe and Rapturable.
