DEVOTION: MARCH 6, 2021.

For our citizenship is in the heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).

Though we may work our way across the Atlantic or the Pacific, we can never work our way from earth to heaven. Heaven is not a place the Church will reach at some future date. The Church is already there. Heaven is both her origin and her abode, but not her destination. And since this is so, the question of striving to reach heaven can never arise. This statement may appear extreme, I readily admit, but it is true. Oh, to see afresh the wonders of our heavenly calling!

That calling does not beckon us to heaven; it makes known to us that we belong there and are there! So we Christians are not working our way heavenward. We are citizens now of heaven, with all our affections firmly set there. Amen!!!

Good Morning. Remain Graced. Stay Safe and Rapturable.
